. This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a Locum NP or PA in Cardiothoracic Surgery, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to patients. You will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals, providing essential support in surgical procedures and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-operative assessments and evaluations
• Provide care during and after surgical procedures
• Monitor patient progress and manage post-operative recovery
• Collaborate with the surgical team on treatment plans
• Document patient information and update medical records
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide support as needed

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
• Valid NP or PA certification and state licensure
• Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery or a relevant clinical setting
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred

Beeper call shifts required, callback is rare

First-assist

Must do vein harvesting

Support Staff: Surgeons, APPs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
